They traveled from another country for a moment that would become part of their story forever: a marriage proposal aboard a Retro Boat on Lake Travis. With the water surrounding them, he asked her to share a life together, turning their trip into the beginning of a new chapter. This Lake Travis boat proposal brought a sense of adventure and romance to a day they had traveled so far to experience.
Photographing their proposal meant taking a little adventure of my own. I paddle boarded to the location, bringing my camera out on the water to capture the moment as it unfolded. As an Austin proposal photographer, I love documenting the personal details that make each couple’s story their own, and this session offered a perspective I’ll always remember. Their proposal photographs preserve the reason for their journey: a question, a promise, and the start of their engagement on Lake Travis.
